Dr. Pappu Venugopala Rao

In February 2011 Pappu released Rasamanjari a treatise dealing with Nayika Nayaka classification authored by Bhanudatta of 15th Century in Sanskrit. This book is written with English transliteration, translation and commentary by Dr.Pappu. It consists of 6 paintings of Nayikas from the Allahabad Museum drawn in 16th century and 10 drawings of different Nayikas drawn by the internationally famous Sri Bapu.

He is right now working on 2 books, one on "Research Methodology for Music and Dance students" and "A Bunch of Javalis".

Both the books are scheduled to be released in November 2011.

There is not a single useful and dependable book yet on Research Methodology for the researchers in the field of music and dance. Dr.Pappu after being an adjudicator for researchers in the field for many years is making an earnest effort to fill this void with his book.

The second book "A Bunch of Javalis" will consist of 50 javalis most of which are relatively not in use with transliteration, word to word translation, commentary and notation.

This book will also carry a CD of 10 selected Javalis sung by eminent musicians.
