Dr. Pappu is working on a book on Javalis. There is a general feeling that there is no authentic work on Javalis with transliteration and translation into English. A selection of 100 Javalis is taken for this purpose. Sri.T.S. Parthasarathy, the nonagerian musicologist was greatly associated with this project. This book will soon be published.
Dr. Pappu’s lecture and lecture demonstrations on Kuchupudi dance have been acclaimed as the best in the field. Research is on way for a very authentic work on Kuchipudi dance.
A set of 4 CDs of Dr. Pappu’s lectures together with 33 songs of Annamacharya titled “Flowers at His Feet” was published in 2006. A second volume to this series with Dr. Pappu’s lectures and 30 compositions of Annamacharya is being produced.
Inspired by Flowers at His Feet, several connoisseurs have suggested that a similar book on Bhadrachala Ramadas with Dr. Pappu’s lectures and compositions of Bhadrachala Ramadas be brought out.
Pappu is presently working on a comprehensive book on Tygaraja covering his music, literature, poetics, prosody and other nuances.
